Sway Bars Out of Nissan Competition Part Catalog?

Hey, just bought front and rear sways for $80 off craigslist. They're the parts listed in this Nissan catalog. Anyone else have these or have an info on them? http://www.nissanusa.com/nismo-web/N...talog-2012.pdf

Default Sway Bars Out of Nissan Competition Part Catalog?

Hey, just bought front and rear sways for $80 off craigslist. They're the parts listed in this Nissan catalog. Anyone else have these or have an info on them?

http://www.nissanusa.com/nismo-web/N...talog-2012.pdf

Specs:

56230-SS370 ALL 1 25mm rear sway bar kit, 3 hole adjustments
54611-SS370 ALL 1 35mm front sway bar kit, non-adjustible

They look like they're bigger than standard, adjustable and they're powered coated dark grey so I thought what the hell.

Just bought some polyurethane bushings so I can install these. Hope I can get them installed this week.

Think I'm getting a good deal compared to the whitelines. These look to be much beefier as well. I'm only 120 bucks in, compared to 450 for the whitelines. Win

If they're OEM, isn't your car already equipped with those? Are those the Nismo sway bars. I don't know if those are even different from stock.

OEM's aren't adjustable.

Those are likely tubular, so they're not really stiffer than the Whitelines, but that's kinda irrelevant. For that money, you're better off, unless you're really trying to tune the car's dynamic response on the track and know what you want.

They're solid not tubular.

For the record, solid doesn't automatically mean they are stiffer

Type of steel, how it was bent, at what temperature, if it was heat treated, and so on dictates stiffer or softer

Tubular tubing can be just as stiff as solid, the only disadvantage it has is that if you scrape it, you're more prone to damaging the bar or even shaving a sidewall off
