I know the brakes need to be re-bled with a power bleeder. there is some air in the lines still and I will have FP take a look at that.

I will also take a look at the pads and see if it has to do with the pad wear cause that just showed up in the past two days. BTW it is only on that one rotor the rest have full contact.

lol.. may sound dumb.. but a lot of times it works..
Find an empty area.. run the car up in reverse at a good clip and hammer the brakes.. sometimes that's all it needs.. just a different direction to knock it loose. and it's a different sensation.. kinda fun.. |

Im wondering is stoping sooo fast a good thing??? At high speeds I know it can cause the car to lose control.

JB its a solid feel when braking with these brakes. The car remains completely stable under heavy braking on my setup. I have done several 60-0 then 70-0 then 80-0 back to back runs so far with no fade and stable braking control throughout the entire series of braking. I am so glad i have a few streets around the office where I can do this After the car gets back from FP I will do the braking tests and give everyone solid numbers to run by.

when I say back to back I mean 60-0 then floor it till I reach 70 and then brake to 0 then floor it again... I did this process for a few miles to really try and punish these brakes!!! and they just keep taking it. This was also in sub freezing temps and the brakes were quick to stop. After I got off the lonely side street with no traffic I pulled onto the main road and when I pulled into line at the light smoke was coming out of my wheel wells people were looking at me like OMG!!! I just smiled hehehe

Thanks for helping make my decision bullitt. I ordered them today and it looks like it will be 1-1/2 months before I get them to my house. Not really a big deal because my 19" SSR's have about a month or so left before they get to my house.
I opted to get them in a custom poweder coated red. 15" front with 8 pistons and 14" rear with 6 pistons. I went with the drilled and slotted, I know I am going to get $hit from some of yall for going that route. The nice dude named Mike threw in some free stainless steel lines all around too, not sure what kind though! Plus free shipping. After the sale is over these things are going to cost more. Someone want to give me an idea of what brake fluid to use?? I track once a month if that, and I am not a crazy driver on the streets! Does endless make street fluid?? How much does a shop charge to put these on??

yeah three short runs like that is nothing hell my akebono's with stock pads and fluid did 5 stops 150-20 and they faded on 4 and were gone after 5 (pads were covered in metal, rotors were HOOTT and scarred to hell). now i have stoptech front rotors(the rears were fine) and hawk pads. Going to be looking at getting some different rotors and picking up some carbotech xp10-xp8 pads for the front-rear, some stainless lines, and some ate superblue fluid.
