post Eibach springs issues?
 

I recently installed a set of Eibach springs on my Z. Immediately i noticed vibration and extensive tire noise. I thought this will go away when I get my alignment done, it didn't.

I went to get the alignment done but as I drove away the car was still steering to the right and the tire noise was still there and got to the point where I cant talk on the phone. but the vibration was minimized but still there.I went back to the shop and they said its the best they can do and they are aware it is not 100% so they gave me a full refund.

my tires only have 10k miles on them and the noise only started after the drop and I had the shop check them, he assured me they don't require replacing as they still have a lot of tread left but there is uneven wear due to the negative camber.

I'm not sure this is relivent but when the tech looked up my specs in the database he used "fairlady Z34", are JDM specs different?


What do you guys think? has anyone faced similar issues?

I will try to go to a difference shop tonight after work.

Have you checked the tire pressure? Are your tire brands different? Is it possible you have the rears on one side of the car and the fronts on the other?

And JDM should be the same

Tire pressure is 35 psi all around, all same brand and on the correct side.

You installed them wrong would be my guess.

Thats a good starting point.. Also make sure you reinstall the factory spring sleeves at the base of the front coils.. Those little plastic pieces cut out a world of vibration and noise.. Also, look into taking it to a race specific alignment shop. I wouldn't think you'd need a camber kit with the Eibach Springs, but maybe you do.. I know when I installed my Swift springs, I didn't hardly change the factory spec at all during install, but I had to change my specs to a more track specific set-up just to cut vibration and high speed pull... That being said, you won't be able to completely cut out vibration above 60mph.. unless you go with a more mild (smaller / thinner) tire / wheel set-up.
