Default Wilwood rotors and top hats??

The sport rotors and brakes have been out for a while. Anyone call up wilwood and see what they say will work for our calipers? They have a ton of top hats so I'm sure one will be a replacement fit for the heavy stockers.

Here is their big brake kit so I know the top hat will fit the car, its just will it fit in the stock caliper.

As you can see the hat number is 170-9289 and the rotor is 160-8399 and 160-8398. The total weight would be 20.3lbs vs like 30lbs for the stock I read. Also summit racing by my house has these at $157.95 for the top hat and 263.82 for each replacement rotor. Anyone confirm fitment?

Google turned up $250 a rotor and $153 a top hat.

Why not just get RacingBrake 2-piece rotors? They work with the sport calipers. And only weigh 22lb per rotor compared to the stock 30lbers.

If that's true than they're 1.7 lbs heavier and $113 more expensive. Not a good deal there.

I don't think they'll fit to be honest... the caliper sits a little different than the sport caliper, so the rotors are designed different than our stock ones. I just put on the front Wilwood BBK this weekend. Granted I did the 13" setup.. had to cut the dust shield completely off because the rotor sits closer to the hub than stock.

Wouldn't hurt to call Wilwood tomorrow.

I have the RA 2-piece which are the lightest of all but I am not convinced saving weight on the front rotors on this car is the best option for heavy brakers like me.

Big advantage in cooling though. Especially with cooling kits, the air can get inside the hub and into the ring from the inside...

You know that, though.

The two-piece design is advantageous for cooling however the rotor is a heat sink and less mass in the rotor means less cooling.

That's what I figured when I went with the 13" setup for my fronts. But that should be efficient enough for street and light track use. 14" or even 15" rotors are going to dissipate heat much more effectively.

No it wouldn't. And they have so many hats I'm sure one fits. Before I call I'm gonna pull the rotor and get every measurement I can to give them a better insight.
