Brake bleed clear tubing, inside diameter???

I could care less what A factory trained ASE guy is taught. These are the same guys that work at dealerships and SUCK. Haven't any of you read the 1 million horror stories. There's a reason. First, let me say that gravity bleeding is not something you find in the garages of professional motorsports speaking from experience. Also, some cars you simply cannot gravity bleed because of design.

Second, My guess is you bleed brakes to simply swap out the fluid. I don't think your bleeding your brakes all the time as the result of crash damage leading to massive air in the system or replacing an ABS unit. Your not pushing air out of the system because that's when you run into problems with gravity bleeding from my experience.

Third, Most people at the track have no idea what they are doing and think they are boiling brake fluid when in reality they are just running the wrong brake pads that can't deal with the heat. Next time take some time and ask them why and you will likely find they think they have boiled the brake fluid. Then after they tell you that take a look at the rotor face. If it is not significantly heat stressed then you know they are just kind of slow.

Fourth, B.J. makes a move under-braking for the lead near the end of the race and actually makes the pass before getting a dirty shove. I can't take credit for the driving but I am sure B.J. will tell you we always gave him a car that was good under braking and we used the pedal pressure/release method. I must say even from this race on we only got better as B.J. tuned in the pad selection to his liking.

Sorry, I'm sure the question has been answered by now, I just didn't want to go through 4 pages... I bought 1/4 ID x 3/8 OD tubing from Oreileys. Worked great.
