Just going to go back to stock for now. Scheduled an appointment with Nissan for Tuesday. I'll see how the stock lines perform when I eventually track my car and go from there if I want stainless steel lines in the future. Live and learn with some mods I guess.

brakes are back to stock, pedal feels mushier than I remember but I'm guessing that's normal. Guess I got use to the feel of the stainless steel lines for a while there.

Haven't been logging much but thought I'd post something late anyway.

Last time I did stailess steel lines (not on the Z) I had to take the calipers off so I could get the right twist on all the lines. They do go a little crazy while your putting them on and if you have a twist going too far or in the wrong direction they will not hang right. After install have someone turn the wheel all the way right and left watch what they do. They should be moving smooth, not have any sharp radiuses and not be close to rubbing anywhere. If they look funky, you gotta take the caliper off and rotate right or left untill the tubes hang and move right. A lot of shops will just put them in. I won't trust them for something like this.

For the mushyness, they probably didn't do a good job bleeding your brakes. Better to go back and give her a quick bleed.

After doing some research I was wondering if they didn't give them a good bleed. They had around 1/2 a bottle of motil 600 left over if that means anything. Then again, it could be my imagination on the pedal feel. I would guess it's only normal to have a little softer/mushier pedal with stock lines over stainless steel brake lines.

Just installed this kit. Got a question, that silver clip that supports the hard line to the front caliper it won't life back up. Is it really all that important? The other front lines up perfectly.
