odd steering wheel turn degree
check this out,
if i turn the steering wheel all the way to the left, it turns 450 degrees(1 and quarter turn). Now, if i turn it all the way to the right, it will turn 30 degrees over 450 resulting in~ 480 degrees. Instead of 900 degrees end to end, i have something odd like 930 degrees because of this. btw, 500 miles on my car. Anybody want to verify they have the same wheel turn radius?:icon14: edit: alignment seems right though, the steering wheel is dead on center when going straight on a highway http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...ps32839c15.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...ps6bc53105.jpg http://youtu.be/4EAC79QNAq8 |
It is normal. Mine does it on several cars. It was explained to me why years ago but I couldn't correctly rely the info. But it's fine.

It probably has to do with the geometry of the linkage on the car. I bet the turn radius is the exact same both ways however.
