If I were going to upgrade I would stick with the more known brands. I like the AP racing setup. I think performance friction has one too. Then you could use their carbon metalic pads. Those are great pads!

If you are doing this for show, get a different brand. 600 bucks more and you get top of the line AP 6 pistons front setup, you'll get more kudos.

If you are doing this for track, front only caliper upgrade may yield heavy brake bias which may yield worse braking performance?

I talked to the OP, he wants more show, AND something better for the track.
My suggestion was that the OEM sport brakes are GREAT, just heavy for being a 4 piston front and 2 piston rear (compared to others because ours aren't machined down)

I've refinished and rebuilt a set of Ksports. They aren't terrible brakes. The only truly horrible aftermarket brakes I have seen were some chinese set called WPPro that a guy won in a raffle and had me repowdercoat. They had guide plates bolted on with pointy wood screws!

Sport brake with upgraded pads and lines along with rotors goes a long way! We found that out with Ben's blue Z making 60-0 stops in an average of 98ft!!!

I would rather go with a set of Akebonos in a custom color over the KSports or even swing for a set of Wilwoods

Although the base brakes plus a good set of rotors, pads, fluid, and lines are still a perfectly capable setup for normal driving

the akebonos really are a beautiful brake set. And once you color them, they really look great.

I can't wait to test out the akebonos brakes with stoptech slotted/drilled rotors.

Coming from the base brakes.
