Default i dont know if im down to lower my car give me some opinions

I absolutely love vossens.... (who doesn't) and it would look kinda funny if i rocked them with a stock ride height but the thing is i dont know if im down to lower my car i love the way it handles and feels. i owned an s14 wtih coil overs and what not and got sick of the super stiff ride after a while i love the comfort/handling i get of of the stock suspension with the z now and i would love to keep that my question is doing lowering springs; does it make the ride stiffer? or at least less comfortable and if i were to do lowering springs it wouldnt be anything crazy probably about an inch on the other hand over the years i have become very skeptical of lowering springs ive seen friends install lowering springs on their cars and a month or so later the struts would blow out im guessing this is the cause of less travel/possible bottoming out? will this happen with the z?

i was looking at this site which says an OE lowering would be a .25" to .5" drop and their example was h&r which probably has a spring rate closest to the OE spring (feel free to shed some light on that) would that .25" to .5" drop do me any justice or is there a nice spring that is close to the OE spring that has an inch drop? definitely need suggestions

I have the swift springs. Barely affected the ride in terms of comfort. Great drop and increase in handling. I love em. It's a 1/1.25 drop I believe. IMO it's a perfect drop in comparison to the stock monster truck height.

My stock suspension has sagged enough to where I don't need lowering springs anymore

There are plenty of reviews on the Swift Sport Springs that you can take a look at in this forum to determine if lowering via springs is going to suit your needs and address your concerns. I personally like the Swifts a lot for the improved handling and the drop is just gravy. After two years, no problems and some track days included.
