Cadillac CTS-V Brembo Brakes fit On a Z?
I was talking to a friend and he told me the CTS-V brembo brakes fit on a Z all you have to do is get an adaptor plate is this true? I was looking and these brakes are pretty cheap compaired to brembos for a Z. Can someone PLZ clarify this?:tiphat:

Brakes are brakes, it's just a question of who or if they make that adapter
|
I wonder how hard it would be to fab one?

(Someone tried to make a GTR BBK fit out car, and it's still unseccessful and still for sale) Buy a BBK, and if you have the Sport package, you don't really need one, the serious trackers are running OEM... KingSky has a BBK for sale if you really want to go that route |
I have the bottom line bone stock brakes that look like they came off a GEO METRO....:shakes head:

Ya its still about 2g. I'm on a strict budget I hopeing to find someone thats upgraded form their sport brakes and are willing to part from them, |

IT is still better than trying to fit brakes that are from another car or any big brake kit. If your on a budget save some more tell you have enough money to buy the real thing. |

stop tech and AP make 6 piston BBK's for about $2,000 less than brembo. Both companies are just as reliable as Brembo as well. Brembo are excellent brakes, but over the last decade or so. Companies have been able to create rivals or go as far as to beat Brembo performance.

^ I think those kind of kits are out of op's budget tho
|
Yes they are, I'm getting my income tax return back and it's about 2000 and I'm def getting an FI exhaust. But someone told my that they fit and you can purchase the calipers for around 150 each.

like cv129 said, brake bais is very important on this car. search for "ice mode" and see what you get.
do it right..... |
Ok I'll look it up

6 pistons AP front kit goes for 2500+. For the full akebono kit, front and rear, it's 2269 shipped at z1, that's with the most expensive pads and fluid, Nissan logo calipers and optional dust shield, and it's a track worthy setup already. Use the cheaper option, with Infiniti logo calipers, oem pads and no dust shield, it's $1624 shipped. |
