A bent wheel would be a back-and-forth wobbling of the steering wheel at low speeds. At higher speeds this might turn into what feels like a vibration. If the car slams the curb real hard chances are that front end parts will be bent. This can cause not only the steering wheel to be off-center but also a hard pulling condition towards the side of the impact. Any pics? How fast where you going how tall do you think the curb was?

Check your tire too, for a broken belt.

exactly what I was gonna say. Hopefully that will fix the wobble and there isn't anymore serious damage

The impact might have knocked off a wheel weight if your lucky; the tire guy can tell you if the rim is bent when he spins it to balance it. Been there before and, sorry to say, you rim is probably bent. Have him look close at rim as it spins. When my wife had one bent, it balanced ok on machine, but wobbled on road. A closer look by tire supervisor revealed it was bent when I took it back. He called me back to look at it while it was spinning; you could see the slight wobble despite being balanced. After a new wheel, no problem.

Curbed at 40 and that's all that happened? Must've been a shallow one. I understeered once around a roundabout in an old car, about a 5 inch curb. Ended up costing 8k in repairs. Hope its just a wheel weight that popped off.

How can one tell if the front arms were bent slightly before going overboard and replacing all of them?

Inspection is key. You must inspect before coming out of pocket.

Take to dealrshit and have them look at it. I would file an insurance claim a.s.a.p. The worst you are out is 500, let them take care of the rest. Thats what we all pay for...

This is what happens when you curb at 70. You got off easy.
