I'm dropped 1" all around on K&W v3's. No scrapes.

Just be careful over bumps and angle if you have to, and you won't scrape.

You will scrap. That day will come for sure!!! Especially if you have never driven a lowered car before. Leave it stock if your anal about scuffs on the cans.

ANGLE is your Friend! :D

I'm currently on TEIN's (installing Stance Coilover's in spring)

I'd say I'm dropped 1.1-1.2" as the TEIN's settle quite a bit....I have the CF cans and have not scraped them and roads here are horrible. Getting out of my condo parking, I seem to scrape the brace that covers the y pipe before anything else. And thats everytime, I cringe, but at least its not my exhaust.

You just gotta be careful (smart) especially on roads you aren't familiar with.

I think if you are on H&R which slams you, you run more a risk of scrapping for sure (they are almost 1.5" drop)

I agree with 1st. If you track or ever drive aggressively there is a decent chance of scraping them. I think my first ZdayZ I scraped mine going up a REALLY steep switchback (scraped paint on the front fascia too : )

I'm dropped on Swift springs (1.25 front, 1 rear) and have yet to scrape them and my car is a DD 3 out of 4 seasons of the year.

When going over speedbumps hit them straight so both rear wheels go over at the same time. Lowest point of the cans are in the middle of the rear wheels. Besides, the version 2 sits higher than the original F.I.

Ahh. I have #50 so it's most likely the first revision. :)

I am dropped on Coilovers. I would say about 1.25" in the front and rear and I hardly ever scrape. The 2nd revision makes it almost impossible to scrape since the lowest part of the exhaust is right in line with the axle.

I've had my CF cans since Nov 9 and have no issues. At least 1" in the front and 1.25" in the rears. It is pretty low. I scrape my lip a lot and more worried about backing into a curb or those parking bumps. I can't clear some driveways or speed bumps so I go around them. Not really practical for a DD but man it looks great. More worried about valets and mechanics and how they'll be driving the car when I drop it off.

I run standard springs but smaller diameter tyres (650m dia front and 648mm rears) so my car has been effectively lowered by 14.5 mm at the front and 14mm at the rear and I scrape occasionally.

If you are at all concerned, leave it a standard ride height, otherwise saddle up for the odd scrape.

What springs are you on?

henryy370z 01-29-2013 08:11 AM
