If you aren't on a budget, I would get coilovers. With springs, you will probably be fine, but if you aren't then you will have to get rid of them to keep from scraping. If you get coilovers, you get a lot more adjustability and can fine tune your ride height for your area.

I am so glad that I decided to get coilovers. The handling difference is amazing, and being able to adjust my height is a great bonus as well.

Just for the record, I am on the First generation of F.I. exhausts, and have never scraped.

I've scraped 1 time on a speed bump I took at an angle. Never since. Take them head on.

I have swifts and the newer FI exhaust and I have some canister scrapes towards the front of the car. My car is not a daily driver and I always take angles. I also live in southern California where they use intersections as drainage ditches. (Makes no sense to me coming from Wisconsin)
So I think it is inevitable to scrape a little. You can't see it from behind tho. I can only feel it when I polish them. They are also dented on the top, I imagine from road debris. Anyone else find this?

Yes, speedbumps never angle. Take those flat. Hills/dips, those you angle.

I take the front of the car at an angle and then square up the rear. I never scrape that way. YMMV.

Scraped them again, but the road was jacked, had about a 3" drop in pavement and I went slow but cans hit!

Scraped my cans a weeks ago, so pissed. Exhaust leak sucks!

Exhaust leak?? I've scraped them, but it didn't cause a leak.

I scraped bad enough threw the cf and there is no stainless steel under that. Tiny scrape on each canister.

Don't worry about it,I have scraped my exhaust so much since 2010 that I wore the metal down so that the muffler is open on the bottom but still not leaking.
