Eibach springs and the stock "sport lip"

Hey everyone - I kind of have a silly/stupid question to ask in regards to the slightly less than one inch drop from the Eibach springs and that lip that comes with the sport model Z. My driveway already scrapes the very corners of the stock plastic sport lip (exactly, plastic, which is why I could care less) even approaching it on an angle as you should do with any steeper driveway. I'm kind of worried that even if I took the plastic lip off, my front bumper may not have enough clearance after even the slight drop the Eibachs give the car. Does that plastic lip hang that low that it's giving me a false sense of what may happen? Anyone else have to rip theirs off and trash it after lowering the car? Thanks!

What lip are you referring to? The two spoilers at the front of each fender - take it off, or the spoiler that runs across? Take them out too.

I'm moreso talking about the black plastic lip that only comes with the sport package. It's the one that hangs underneath the bumper and gets scraped up on each side. I know it sounds dumb, but I just don't know if thats an indicator of the front bumper being close to touching already if I lowered it another inch. I guess I'll just have to take the car out, put it at the end of the driveway and measure out what sort of room I have.

This is the lip I'm referring to... I guess looking at it from this angle shows if I'm barely scraping the left/right edges of it then I probably have plenty of clearance, am I right?

I'm lowered about an inch and I scrape that every day going in and out my driveway. No biggie as it isn't very visable.

I'm lowered on Swift Spec R's and scrape just a hair coming out of my driveway everyday. I also barely scrape on the speed bump coming into my neighborhood. I can't quite tell if it's the front lip or the spoilers in front of the wheels. Either way, you can hardly see any evidence.

I understand I might scrape afterwards, but what I'm saying is I already scrape that lip now. If I lowered the car, even if I took that lip off, should I really be worried about the bumper itself?

I'm on coils and have eaten it up...one side popped off but i had it popped back on. I jus prefer the lip....i don't like it without.

I think to actually scrape real bumper, you'd have to be slammed...which you won't be with an Eibach drop...

Essentially that stock spoiler would have to be bent to the limits and chances are you haven't had it scrape that bad yet (you'd know) so you should be ok. Mine has taken its abuse...I like it though, because the longer you hear a scraping sound, the better you can guage the clearance..
