Default Rear Camber - adjustable?

I noticed my car, as it sat in my garage the other day, how much negative camber there is on the rear end. My guideline is the grooves in the tread...and the lack of dust accumulation on the outside edge of the tread (stock tires, the half the "block" on the outer tread has nothing there, while the rest of the tread has dust...)

Anyone looked into adjusting it (if it's possible stock - or what it would take to make it adjustable?)

You can only adjust the camber with aftermarket camber kits. No need to adjust if your suspension is stock.

Thanks for the reply

No "need" or "unable"?

I guess when I look at it, it looks like there's too much. But, I'm also not an expert.

Depending on how much your drop is, you should be able to adjust rear camber about 1deg on the stock setup. You are stock though, so you should be fine. If you are concerned, I would maybe consider taking it to the dealer just to be sure.

One thing I have realized though, is that it often "looks" like there's more negative camber than there really is because of how wide the fenders are in the rear. If I had to guess, some of it can be attributed to that. Good Luck.

Didnt mean to single you out before, just wrong time and wrong place. Looks like "Nurburgring" has picked up the tab too.

Since I need to drop it to the dealer tomorrow (paint issue, still...a month later =/) - I'll ask them about it.

With the dust tracking on the tire, it's not setting (or wearing) flat, I can say that much.

My rears were -2.2 degrees camber from factory. Factory tolerances are somthing like -1.6 to -2.2. Pretty wide tolerance and mine were at the upper range of normal. Once I lowered my car I had -2.6 on one side, -2.7 on the other. I got the spc camber kit and brought it back to -2.2. Before/after pictures are in this link.

Yup..the inner bolts for the stock arms are eccentric adjusters with a limited range. They are just to the left and right of the exhaust pipes here:

Not a big surprise really....on a 30K unit a year production line you probably have a car coming off every 3-4 minutes.. Given that there are approx 8 adjustments to the suspension (Camber and toe on each wheel), how accurate do you think that factory alignment is going to be? This is why typical specs have a pretty broad range. Best bet is to have a good independent spend an hour or 2 getting the car right to the center of the spec. The $100 spent is well worth it given the cost of tires..
I'll be having mine done shortly.. Then, once I have a good baseline I will maintain it myself as I have a digital camber gauge as well as toe plates..

Yeah, I think I may ask them for a copy of the after-spec to see where it's at.

I can say this much, it handles differently - steering is more "snappy" from center to slightly off-center, if that makes sense.

Also, someone did some cruising in my car =/
I had a 1/4 tank when I dropped it off.
I picked it up with a 1/8th tank...and the CD was about 5 songs later!

lol...
