Question for an improved ride
Hi All,
Advice please, here in New Zealand our roads are, shall we say not the smoothest !!,I have noticed that sometimes the rear end of my 370Z roadster can feel a little "unsettled" on some corners that have a road surface that is bumpy or undulating. I don't use the car on the track etc,and prefer a comfortable ride to a hard or firm one,I am wondering if the car would benefit from a change in shock absorber?,however I have not seen any replacement shocks for the 370Z available without a coil over system. Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers from NZ. |
There is a lot of talk of of the Swift Spec R springs helping a lot of your concerns, but it does lower the car. The springs were designed for performance & ride quality over dropping the vehicle. I just ordered a set myself though I am a little concerned about the drop while mild, but I wanted to gain the performance.
A lot of good reading in here http://www.the370z.com/brakes-suspen...gs-review.html |
Sounds like what we call bump steer. But it's what you get with our cars in stock form. But IMO there's not too much you can to to make the car more comfortable than what stock already is. Coilover can be a shot but not sure which coilovers are going to give you the feel you want. Never tested mine on the softest setting.

Dampers like Koni yellows will help.
