Proper way to Lower the Z
Gents,
I recently bought 18 valencia wheels but would also like to lower the car a bit so there isn't very much gap. Any suggestions? Is this a spring deal or coil overs or both? New to this stuff as I have owned a truck my whole life. |

I would start there or search for Eibach Pro-kit, those are both good options |
Well it really depends on what you want from lowering the car, if It's just looks, get a reputable brand of springs in the drop you wish to achieve. Tracking the car, look into coil overs. There is also a lot of buzz for the swift springs with the stock struts which enhance both performance, ride quality & lowering. There are a few reviews around here about them.
Oh yeah, welcome :tiphat: |
swift springs drop 1.2" front and 1.0" rear.
people seem to like them quite a bit.. its performance and looks on a budget |
If you are on a budget and want low go with the H&R springs.
Swift is the best bang for the buck as far as reducing some of the wheel gap and adding performance. If you got the cash and either plan on tracking or want the ability to adjust ride height to your liking go with KWv3's. |

J/k of course Swifts, Eibachs, H&R's springs Are all pretty good options Just note that some may have more drop than others So do your HW and decide first how dropped you want to be. |
Get a fat girlfriend? :ugh2:

if u aren't on a budget def go with coils u wont regret it
if u are then springs will do i guess |
Good stuff fellas. I am more on the spring train than I am coil overs. Easy to install or miserable?

I have Eibachs and I really like them. The ride isn't much different from stock, but better through turns. For the install, the rears were easy, but the spring compressors would not fit on the Eibachs. I ended up bringing in the shock and spring to a mechanic then brought it back to install.
