Stop tech vs. Z1 motorsports cross drilled/slotted rotors

Anyone have experience with both these? They both look visably about the same, but are the stop tech rotors worth the extra money? The Z1 kit comes with all 4

Default Stop tech vs. Z1 motorsports cross drilled/slotted rotors

Anyone have experience with both these? They both look visably about the same, but are the stop tech rotors worth the extra money?

The Z1 kit comes with all 4 rotors, pads, and SS braklines... Seems like the better buy but also makes me question the quality since ST is charging more for just the rotors...

I can't argue with that logic. Since you're not going to be using these on track, whichever one costs less will be fine for street driving.

If I had to guess, you're paying for Stoptech's name. It wouldn't surprise me to find out that 75% of the rotors on the market are made in the same place and the only difference is the label on the box.

I know for a fact that Rotora rotors for my old IS300 were made by Centric, and completely identical to the Centric-branded ones that cost much less. At the end of the day, I'm sure you will notice no perceptible difference by going with the Z1 rotors except for the fact you basically got the pads and lines for free.

Whats wrong with cross-drilled?

If you don't track it, it shouldn't crack? The OEM GT-R rotors are drilled.

They're definitely less likely to crack, but that doesn't mean they won't. OEM "drilled" rotors usually have the holes cast into them, not drilled. That makes them much less prone to cracking.
