I've been looking at the Ksport kit, heard good things about them on other forums (air ride kit). Who else makes a kit for us?

I've been considering an air setup as well. My research lead me to this hybrid system by Platinum VIP; which I'm considering:
http://www.phantomsuspension.com/ Two other players are Air Runner (http://www.airrunnersystems.com/air-suspension/) and Air Lift Performance (http://www.airliftperformance.com/). I believe member 2theextreme has an Air Runner setup... |

There is a company a few miles from my place that does custom air ride with lifetime warranty for around $4k. Stopped by and talked with them. They had some really nice high end cars that they were working on, so I trust these guys know what they are doing. They have a really really nice Platinum Armada lifted on like 38"s and really nice wheels. All one off peices for the lift made in house.

hmm, with something like the TC-5 could you actually do some lapping or is it what I typically think: nothing more than daily driving and show with air ride?

it depends on what kit you get, some u can run stock suspension or use coil overs....if you do track, obviously buy the coilovers to match up with the bags...
myself, i dont' track, nor do i drive like an ***....i'd probably stick with the OEM suspension + bag combo....but yet still have a better ride! |

1. Running a true Coilover (ex. KW V3) with a bag replacing the actual coil. When inflated, you control how stiff you want the spring recoil, and the max "height" is reached at full inflation. This is more for "looks" at shows to slam your car. 2. Some have ran the bag setup completely over the coilover setup. What this does it give you the capability of raising your car up for curbs or even steep entrances into a track. Fully releasing the air in the bag lowers the car to down onto the coils(track mode). This is only available by custom setups, but seems to be the best option for our cars to use them to full potential ![]() Theeeen there's a "cup kit". This is quite a bit different, and in its own catigory all together. All this does is put a small extention to expand between the coil of your spring to slightly raise your car for a few moments. This is ideal for very short periods of time and just to get in higher areas without bottoming out. Last edited by 1cleanZ; 10-03-2012 at 03:05 PM. |

I know Tony (2theextreme) has one installed on his Z and he's had a bunch of problems with it. I don't think he would recommend going this route after the problems he's had, but you can PM him and ask.
