I would be interested in a front caliper upgrade. I don't feel that the AP CP7040 is really cut out for anything other than very light track duty, it's more of a street, occasional track caliper.

The 2-piece AP rotors have been holding up nicely. I get a full year out of a set of rings, could probably get more with a bit more brake ducting. I'm not sure a full float setup is really warranted on anything other than a full-time race car. I'm willing to look at it if it is part of a package though.

Full floating has way too much rattle for a street car.

My recommendations as far as this is concerned is a CP5060. Pad choices are very abundant. 18mm pad vs the typical 16 on a street caliper. The pistons are stainless steel keeping all the heat out of the caliper and fluid. I think all options are viable actually. Utilizing OEM Brembo calipers and some two piece rotors possibly full floating as well as an option for caliper upgrades to use with OEM style rotors all makes sense. Considering all angles guys so keep your suggestions coming.

Just to add, I'm interested in front/rear rotors slotted only with black hats. Not sure about full floating with the associated noise and my vehicle primarily driven on the street.

Will be talking to owners about becoming paid advertiser. Can not disclose prices and information about kits until that is settled. Can only get info from you guys on what you want and gauge interest on various components. So keep the suggestions coming. Once everything is settled on my end I will post all relevant info.

Guys, comparing AP and Alcon, it is like comparing bicycle and car. Both are used to drive ...

We have three 370Z track cars, all are used very hard on a track, more than 20 track days each year, and Alcon Superkit with proper pads is the best brake kit what we found.

I can't imagine that AP Racing, especially from Forumula Big Brake Kit range, can be in half good even, when we talk about stopping power, and reliability.

Please note, Alcon says that Superkit is dedicated for street use

Not quite sure what you are trying to say here? That AP is crap? Considering that they are the top brake supplier for every major form of top motorsport others would apparently disagree.

You can get AP brakes anywhere from $5000 (street) to $50000 (Nascar), so as with anything you buy the level of performance you need.

I have had no major issues running the AP street calipers on track (about 15 days a year), my only complaint was related to dust seals which has been mostly addressed with a $100 heat shield. This is no fault of AP, they have plenty of comp calipers in a similar price range, it was Stillen that put together the package and they are primarily street focused.
