I'm looking to just getting the front for now to see how it goes. It is mostly for Street use and a little auto-x.

does the front or rear sway bar have more effect on the handling of the car?

If you just upgrade the front ones and make it stiffer, the car will understeer more than it does already. It'd be more balanced to upgrade both, and then you'd also be able to adjust under/oversteer.
