KW V3 Rear Ride Height
I've noticed a lot of people on here also have the KW V3's so I'm hoping you all can help. I installed mine a few weeks ago and have never really been happy with how the rear sits. There are quite a few members that seem to be slightly lower in the rear than my setup (even though im maxed out). I'm not trying to *slam* my car but I would like to lower another half inch or so. I can comfortably fit 2 fingers between tire and fender right now running 305-30's and -1.2 degree's camber. I had swifts before and they seemed to sit just as high and I guess I expected the V3's to give me more adjustability back there. So, how are you all doing it, or is it just the angle of the pictures im seeing?

you should be able to just use the spanner wrenches and turn to adjust....I've got the V3s also and I can easily lower/raise by turning the perches to adjust. Other people might chime in....

I dunno bro. Everything seated flush/right under the spring (big rubber thing)? Mine is this low and it can go even lower.

I'm pretty sure I didn't cut/remove anything from the KWs....i have about just one finger gap.
|
Hmm...curious on some other people's experience. It's annoying me to the point where I may end up getting rid of them for something else.

Bump for someone's insight.

Normally the printing on the springs are the other way. do you have them upside down.
Just trying to help. |

Could you have a member thats not having issues compare the part #'s on the rear springs to make sure you have the right springs and not ones for a G? seems like that maybe the case

thats really odd..your car should be absolutely dumped with those settings! ill see if i can get under the car tomorrow and look at the spring. as for the z/g, its the same kit. no difference as far as i can tell.

I think I remember the G37s had a similar issue with their BC coils.
Hope you get the spring situation figured out. MY BC ERs have the same problem because they use a different stiffer spring. I had to remove 1 of the 2 perches to get at the max. low setting (0 gap, no tuck) |
if you want to go lower, just remove the purple height adjustment ring all together, then you will be maxed out. a waste of v3 coilovers if all you're looking for is low though. they're near the bump stops your current height already.
edit: another reason to consider your "finger gap" comparison is that some ppl are running a larger circumference tire. |

The pic showing your lower part. I have K1 and it's low in the rear. They have remove the rubber spring mount? looks like it's still there.
