Hey guys,
So seeing as the nismo cf ducts are so expensive, I have decided to make a mold of them to allow frp alternatives at a fraction of the price. Mainly this was for my personal use, but I thought I might as well see if anyone else might have some interest. So the question is, would anyone else be interested? I could probably make several molds or better yet, try to find a place could use the molds for production. So, thoughts? Input? Comments? Thanks! |

Anyway to route ducts from the opening of the front bumper instead of actually cutting into it? Like the Stillen brake ducts? I just don't like the idea of cutting holes in my Nismo bumper.

Oh Im not in it to make money. If I get a good mold, I would give them to a shop, or make em for cost. At least a few. I don't want it to take up a lot of time, but I'd be glad to pass teem along to whoever needed.
As for the location, I dunno how effective you kcoud make them using the front opening without taking up a lot of space needed for the radiator, oil cooler, and ps cooler. Prhaps making an opening below the facsia, but that would lessen ground clearance. |

This is already in the works! I am working on getting a set to mold(along with a new hood and fenders). and then you will see me as a site vendor! but the more people doing it the better!

that would be a completely different duct type. These are amazing and grant a lot of air flow. which for guys like myself who need extra cooling these are perfect

I have the Nismo brake ducts. They list $612.00 each.
![]() ![]() The end where the cooling hose goes on the Nismo brake duct is 4" diameter. The Stillen brake duct kit hose is 2" in diameter. So I have to come up with a reducer. That's where I'm at now. I got the reducer, but I need to do a little machining on it to fit the way I want it to.

I made a rough mockup earlier today, but I'm just going to have to break down and cut the holes to get the angle just right. Also, how to the oem ducts mount? I was thinking of a plate on the inside of the bumper. That way, I could make some studs into the duct that would go through the bumper and plate, secured by lock-nut or similar. |

Op, I have had the same idea rolling around in my head. I was going to make some out of fiberglass and mold then in to my Bumper, but I have been real lazy here lately.
