Default KW V3, blown strut, anyone else?

hey everyone, its been a while! anywho, broke my foot back in march, finally able to drive the last month. anyway...at highway speeds i noticed the steering wheel/front wheels start to hop when hitting bumps. spent some time troubleshooting, checking all the bolts - top strut, strut mounts, lower mounts..etc etc. nothing helped so i took the struts out, low and behold, the front left strut, when compressed does NOT return!!! which means the spring has been the only thing holding up my front left for who knows how long

this leads me to believe that they are in fact blown. the odd thing is, i hardly drove my car the last few months and theres no sign of leaks or oil for that matter. just...when i compress the strut it doesnt come back and i can hear an audible shhhhh when compressing it. now my question..has anyone blown a KW V3 strut? now that it's blown, should i go and have all 4 rebuilt? just the 2 front? some "professional" opinions would be great! thanks guys

You can get the one rebuilt, i believe, but i would do all four. One of your seal or something may have dried up... who knows. If it has been sitting that long i would rebiuld them all if you can afford some more down time.
