Metal groaning/popping from rear when slowly entering entrance ramp

I've begun hearing a bit of groaning metal noise coming from the passenger side suspension. It only happens when you're going up a fairly steep entrance ramp (garage, driveway, etc),

Default Metal groaning/popping from rear when slowly entering entrance ramp

I've begun hearing a bit of groaning metal noise coming from the passenger side suspension. It only happens when you're going up a fairly steep entrance ramp (garage, driveway, etc), so it seems to be occurring when the suspension is compressing at an odd angle and slow speed.

You never hear it when driving, turning, hitting bumps, etc. So I'm thinking perhaps it's the strut or spring?

Mine does this too.. it is most likely the spring. I have been hunting it down for months now and have used different types of padding/rubber in between the spring and bucket to no avail.

My old 350z did this exactly from day one. Had a great dealership though, they ended up going through all the suspension bits including bushings. Ended up being a bad weld in the body...

Sounds like it's coming from the front, passenger side. It's a metal popping noise when the suspension is compressed at an angle, and going into a tight turn. Sounds like the spring may be binding ever so slightly, may just need to get the rubber spring isolator adjusted.

I'm interested in the solution to this. Please update if possible.

I think I ended up spraying a bunch of silicone blaster into the front suspension and the noise just never came back.

I don't remember exactly how it was fixed.
