This is mostly correct. It will ONLY cause issues with the warranty on suspension components. I say mostly correct because I try to avoid using the term "void" when talking about warranty issues. Your warranty is never going to be voided. They may deny warranty coverage of something, but that doesn't mean you no longer have a warranty. It just means that that specific part, in that specific case, won't be covered.
Research the Magnusson-Moss Act. It was put in place to protect you and your warranty.
