Doran Racing NISMO RC suspension parts
2 Attachment(s)
Just wanted drop sneak shots of the Doran Racing front upper control arms, rear toe arm, and camber arm (for those running a true rear coilover..this arm replaces the bulky spring bucket)
These arms were designed for use on the NISMO 370Z RC that we are campaigning in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series... The rear arms adjust simply and quick.... using an allen to loosen the clamping bolts...then turning the adjuster on the arm with a wrench...and retightening the clamping bolts. The front upper control arms are cnc'd billet alum and the adjustment is changed using shims that will be supplied with the arms. The arm itself is very light weight ...coming in at just under 1lb ...not including the sphericals. Dwnshift |
Front arms are suppied by NISMO, Nissan USA. RJN Motorsports (UK) or Doran-Racing designed/sourced ??
|
Shims are definitely the way to go for the front uppers, no way for that to slip and go out of alignment like all the other designs I've seen. Also like that it is lightweight yet strong like the OEM piece, the aftermarket steel ones are very heavy. Any idea on approximate adjustment range?
Thanks for the pics! |
BGTV8...these arms are designed and produced in house at Doran Racing....availability will most likely be through Nissan Motorsports Parts in the US.
ChrisSlicks... at this time I am not positive on the full range of adjustment..def something that is being sorted and tested. The parts that we are developing are geared towards racing and hardcore track applications. The bushings in the rear arms are also machined delrin. The series we are in will not allow us to make new rear "traction" arms at this time but we are allowed to change out the bushing. Dwnshift |
I want the front arms
|
Wait till ya see our sway bars ;)
Again... race and hardcore tracking purposes....but makes other bars look cute. Dwnshift |
I'll take one of everything. God, you've no idea how long I've been waiting on some legit suspension parts. SPC can suck a... lol

In for front upper arms. I will buy these ASAP.

We now have carbon headlight covers that replace the entire headlight housing.
Both Headlights were damaged at Barber... They are not heap units to replace and you can't gets parts.... You have to get the entire housing. Anywho.... They remove about 35 lbs as well... I'd post pics if I could figure out how to post from my iPod ;) Dwnshift |

Front arm installed (Doran upper shock mount shown as well)

carbon headlights pics are posted in the weight reduction thread upabove

Question: What is the purpose of the modified shock mount? For quicker install and removal, or in order to accommodate a different shock design?
