Brakes - Rear Rotor Removal Assistance?
Hey guys,
I'm in the process of upgrading my rear brakes & rotor with ceramic pad and slotted/drilled rotor. I removed the caliper and bracket but I can't removed the OEM rotor :shakes head: I hit it pretty hard with the hammer and tried to close the drum pads/ebrake, but no luck. Any help would be great! |
Make sure that your parking brake is disengaged and your car in gear. Spray some liquid wrench on the wheel studs and bang away with a rubber hammer.
Good luck! |
If your parking brakes are adjusted too tight, remove the little rubber plug from the rotor and poke a flat blade screwdriver into the hole to rotate the little star wheel to back the parking brakes off a bit.
If both wheels are in the air on jackstands, rotate the entire rotor assembly with your hands to ensure your parking brake is disengaged and your cars in neutral. |
Thanks guys, got it done today, they look pretty awesome check it out!
