Carbotech Weight Recommendations
I know there is alot of Carbotech love here ... but I am curious about the recommended weight for the XP-8. From the Carbotech site for the XP-8 it says: "Excellent as a front brake pad for lighter applications weighing around 2,400lbs or less."
...so, does this mean 2,400 for the front half of the car, or do they mean the whole car ? For XP-10 the suggested weight is 2,900 pounds or less.

I wouldn't worry about it. If you want you can call 'em up and they can recommend pads for what you want to do with them.
I run XP10 up front with XP8s in the rear and Bobats/1521s for street pads. So far the 10/8 combination has lasted me about a year per set with 6-8 track days/year. |

Cool...tons of guys running them without issues so I would be alright with them. I also only go around at pace car/safety vehicle speeds .... I am still torn on XP-8's all around or trying out the EBC Blue NDX ... maybe I will flip a coin tonight and be done with it.
