stock suspension negative rear camber?

Can this be fixed with an alignment or do I need a camber kit? Its stock not lowered nismo. The camber chewed my stock tires apart....

Default stock suspension negative rear camber?

Can this be fixed with an alignment or do I need a camber kit? Its stock not lowered nismo. The camber chewed my stock tires apart....

I know what neg camber is but if you don't have a measurement then no one will be able to help you.

These cars have quite a bit of neg camber from the factory ,it sounds like you need to get your alignment checked.

My rears have -2.0 deg camber. The tires are wearing out, almost worn out after 10K miles, on the outside - not the inside. Any ideas why?

Nismos will where out the inside rubber if you drive it hard.if you get it lined up make sure they use nismo settings.

You're likely going around corners rather spiritedly. LOL. Add more negative camber or slow down on your turns. Are you tracking your car?

The factory recommended rear camber is fairly aggressive...I can't remember the range exactly. You'd have to refer to your owner's manual or a service manual...it's something like -1.2 to -1.6 degrees, so it's common to see uneven wear inside to outside. Plus, the OEM tires are very soft (wear rating is 120 or 140). Don't expect a lot of mileage with them. What's your current mileage?

It's funny how I'm hearing a lot about Nismo tires wearing in the rear. OP you need to get an alignment done. Being stock the camber and toe should be able to adjust to a more conservative settings. Most likely after you buy new rear tires.

Car is not driven hard and will never see a track. 5K of those miles were on interstates on a road trip from Nova Scotia to Tennessee last fall and put away for the winter. Any other ideas? Dealer checked the alignment and said this was normal wear. I disagree.

Maybe I am wrong but I don't think the cornering aspect has an increased affect on wear infact I was pretty sure we have the neg camber so that the tire is more flat (even wear) when cornering to increase traction.

With our cars you will always notice more wear on the inside than out... any car with negative camber will show more wear on the inside for that matter.

If they are burning really quickly it might be a combo of the negative camber and some toe variation.

Having tires delivered Thursday and put on Friday. Would you guys recommend the dealer for this to prevent scratched rims and a solid alignment?

More than anything make sure you get as close as possible to 0 toe in the rear, no more than 0.03 total rear toe-in. Toe combined with the stock camber angle will destroy tires quicker than anything just driving straight.
