SPC Arms without Toe Bolts

Has anyone attempted to run SPC arms and not the toe bolts? I am dropped between 1-1.5" and going for an alignment soon. I didn't get the toe bolts with the set because I bought them used.

...stock they can get your toe to zero easily. camber is all that get's really whacked when you drop, and the arms you have will take care of that.

OK cool... hope you're right...worst case is I'll get the bolts seperately.

i think i am dropped lower than you and my toe was no big deal in the rear ... they got it close to zero with the stock adjuster with no problems. check my build thread I got a before and after alignment sheet in there somewhere showing what the toe was unadjusted.

Just looked at your pics and we are probably about equal although I have 19s... I never measured my stock height.

I really like your trim you used on the rear cutouts... where did you get that?

Although it is true that lowering the suspension mostly changes camber, rear camber adjustments changes the toe. Hopefully your toe has enough adjustment left to compensate for the camber changes.

OK so it sounds like it isn't exactly a science... worst case senario is I guess I am out paying for a second alignment, best case is I get away with stock toe bolts.

...at Lowe's in the hardware department. They are called DESK GROMMETS in the nuts and bolts section, and I guess they are really to put in the top of desks for computer cables and everything to run through. I got 2 3/8" plastic ones. Pretty cheap and they cover up the holes I made pretty good.

lol pretty cool idea! +1

The stock toe adjusters have plenty of room for adjustment. Setting the camber back near factory specs will also bring the toe back in.

Repped as well... you should post some pics with the covers in (assuming you use them as well).

Unfortunately my coilover knob sticks up to far for the tops to set in there like I envisioned, they pop out. So I left it like you see in the pictures. If I could find a rubber grommet that big, and then get a smaller size desk grommet I think the tops would stay in because the rubber grommet would raise it just enough. They look OK the way they are I think.

MattP725 04-23-2012 05:34 PM

Yeah I think they look as close to OEM as you are going to get... I wouldn't mind that at all.. plus if you ever sold the car/coilovers you could put the cap in there and it wouldn't look out of place.

thanks for that! I dont have coilovers yet but I will hold on to that idea for when I do if they will need them.

Like others have said you should be able to get away with the OEM toe adjustment. Im lowered on Swift springs and I didnt have to use toe bolts.
