the only thing slotted rotors are going to give you is increased cooling and better dispersion of gases. They arent going to stop better in the real world and you will not even be able to tell theyre on your car. The only time they are beneficial is if/when you go to a track other than that they really wont help at all

If that's all you want, then upgrade to more aggressive pads. Stoptech Street Performance pads have had very good reviews. Good initial bite and hold up well with high temps (multiple quick stops in succession). I have em on my 350Z.

When you replace rotors you want to go lighter aluminum hats, slotted to cross drilled. Less weight less rotational mass = faster car!
Cross drilled are great in the rain, but removing surface areaa with the slots and holes the pad touches reduces braking. The rotors will stay cooler with a cross drilled for long periods of high speed braking. |

I have them front and rear now on my sport package brakes with hawk hps pads all around too. A little noticeable difference but not too much. Nice aesthetic look and the price tag was good. I got mine from tunerzstore on the forum here. Fast shipping and pretty easy to do yourself. Should take less than 2 hours to do yourself.

Cooling is 50% of better performance and that's why you add high performance pads to this type of brake rotor. The pads shortewn the distance while the rotors stay cool and greatly reduce fade and eventual early warping from aggressive driving. Its not street necessary but you are downplaying the benefit and giving half the information. |

Not down playing the benefits, he simply wants to stop a little faster when someone pulls out in front I him. Rotors won't do this, but pads will

IF you want to change the bite then get stainless stell braided lines. It allows for less flex in the hose, maybe invest in a brake booster controller to allow for more front grip than rear? Maybe a brake flush would help too.
