Interested in the DBA5000. How much does each rotor weigh? Have they released the rears?

I used to run EBC's Redstuff pads and rotors on my Saab and if there was only thing I could rely on with that car, it was the brakes. The harder the pushed them, the harder they stopped. I've been waiting for a review of this combo on the Z, especially since I plan on upgrading my base brakes soon.

Love the look of the ultimax slotted! Right now, they're my favorite!

No current pics, I will get some up in the next few days, They are just about broke in all the way, Braking is night and day compared to the stock rotors/pads, Absolutely no squeaks or noise out of these. I cleaned up the wheels after the first 100 miles or so and they have been very low dust since then. Great upgrade!

Price from DBA has just been increased on the 2 piece rotors, I have one set of fronts left before the price goes up!

Would you say the EBC upgrade is better than stock in everyway?? Performance, longevity, stopping power, brake fade, servicability (resurface rotor)?

I've had bad experience with Racing Brake where the 2 pc rotors got warped within the first year and I wasn't even racing yet. They claimed the rotors could not be resurfaced and therefore needed to buy new discs.

You normally can't resurface slotted discs.

You can resurface drilled or slotted rotors so long as they stay within spec. As with any rotor once it is below minimum thickness it can no longer be serviced.

It's a huge myth that drilled or slotted rotors cannot be resurfaced, they most certainly can.

EBC rotors are made from high quality grey iron.
They offer a 12 month 10,000 mile warranty.

I always stick with rotors and pads that match as with good brake companies they make their pads to work correctly with their rotor designs.

Everything is better than stock with this set-up, I cannot comment on service life of the pads yet as I have not had enough time with them to tell.
Stopping is most defiantly much, much better.
Dust is lower.
Slotted rotors will promote even pad wear unlike drilled which will cause ridges to develop over time shortening pad life.

I have not dealt with "racing brake" so I cannot comment on them. 2 piece rotors normally require disk replacement if something goes wrong. A good quality 2 piece rotor should never warp though.

I normally try to stick with name-brand brakes, EBC, DBA, Brembo, StopTech ect.

There are a TON of Chinese brake rotors with crappy metal being pushed form many angles and many companies. I won't sell cheap brake items, Been down that road with some of my older cars and cheap rotors = JUNK and I will not offer them to my customers.

Don't skimp on rotors!

Nice,

In for current pics with brake dust showing. Just to see exactly how much these pads produce.

Then I will order

NICE!!! Last question...Is there a weight difference from stock? Heavier or lighter?

I'm less concerned with pad life then actual brake fade on the track. I heard the stock system was prone to fade after a certain amount of time spent racing.

Thank you for answering all my questions!
