need some advice on handling
Hi I got a base 370z 7AT non-sport. I've done all the power mods I want (HFC+Y-pipe+Fang Vents+oil cooler) + a tranny cooler in the future. I will eventually get lines, fluid, pads, rotors; also will install swift springs+ koni yellows +(control arms?, toe-links?) as the OEM parts wear out.
Adjustable sway-bars seem like the only thing missing ; most likely whiteline. How does this help with turn-in? The Z feels great exiting corners but deosn't inspire confidence going into a turn.. I'm gonna keep the stock 18inch rims but eventually get 20mm spacers all around. Is there anything I'm missing? Last edited by harman.khinda; 03-13-2012 at 10:41 AM. |

Agreed. I would want to run more rubber to take advantage of all of those suspension mods.

The 18s are 8" in front and 9" in rear....I'd plan to go to at least 9" up front for back roads cruising, and AT LEAST 9.5", but preferably 10" if you plan to track.

Depends on what you want. Some people prefer a staggered setup because they like how it looks or they just prefer the added rear end stability it adds (read: understeer). If you prefer a more neutral balance or oversteer, then a square setup would be best. Most of the guys that are tracking tend to run a square setup as it helps to dial out the understeer in the car.
10" up front may be too wide for regular street use too. Not sure what the rubbing situation would be like with a 275+ up front. That's a lot of tire.

Generally the bigger the tire the bigger the cost.

I had no issues with 275s up front, but t depends on wheel offset. X9.5 is probably a good, safe sizing. |

I don't think it matters where you start, you just need to keep in mind that everything is part of one suspension system, so it has to work together.
