Stillen Sways Installed!!

Just finished installing my sway bars today. Not the most difficult job...but damn those bolts were on there good! I had to hit both the end link bolts and bracket bolts with a few shots of PB blaster just to break them loose!

I set the rear to the stiff setting (hole closest to bar) and the front to the middle setting (middle hole). Took it for a quick test drive and around my neighborhood and the car definitely feels a bit stiffer in cornering. The car doesn't roll as much as the stock bars. My car will never see a track so I may adjust the front to the stiff setting at some point...but I want to drive it more to decide before I get back under there. Also found that the under tray that's supposed to have 4 clips...mine didn't have them. I guess I need to call Nissan and see if they can give me some.

These sway bars, coupled with my 15mm front and 20mm rear spacers, makes this car handle like it should.

There's really no pictures to take because they're tucked up underneath...something in particular you want to see?

If I may ask? How do you feel the spacers are helping performance? I thought spacers were just cosmetic and actually widen the turning radius?

It does affect performance, the wider stance helps on better cornering as well as pritecting the bearings. Did you know that porsches race cars uses multi spacers? :)

Alrighty...I was able to snap a few pictures this morning. Pretty much the best I can do without being able to get under the car:

These first two are the connections to the end links on the front:

These last few are of the rear:

No problem...not too shabby for just sticking the camera under there and shootin'! You should have no problem with 3" piping. I have the Berk's with 2.5".

No_Brakes 03-11-2012 11:22 PM

How long would you say this took you?
And...Could this be done at night?
I work all day and dont have much free time but I would rather not spend the $$$ to have stillen do the work I enjoy doing...
