No, whats the point. Other than "Oh, yeah, thats authentic Nismo. Yeah, from like Japan and Stuff...yeah...I got totally screwed yes." hehe

The stuff looks pretty good though. Yay mods!

I want to drop this car soonest I get it. Anyone know if Z springs will fit on this because when the g37 came out g35 springs went on them and gave it a nice drop

vnarang 12-07-2008 01:03 PM

Interesting. I may be going "All Nismo."

Endgame 12-07-2008 07:29 PM

Yes, good question. I wonder if G37 springs will fit into our 370z..

And how much drop does this Nismo suspension gives

Slidefox 12-13-2008 10:41 AM

Weight and Spring Rates are going to be the biggest questions...

jibSTir13 12-21-2008 02:03 AM

i don't think those are sways.

MC 12-21-2008 02:18 AM

yeah the front stabilizer is flat so i dont know what else to call it but i guess its not like a traditional sway bar. but its like a chassis reinforcer the rear smaller one looks a little more like a sway

RCZ 12-21-2008 12:58 PM

All 3 are just chassis stiffeners...

Minicobra1 01-29-2009 04:03 AM

I've been searching for specs on the Nismo springs and have had some say the drop is 15mm and other say that it is 20mm. Anyone have the USD specs??

Braden

Endgame 01-29-2009 07:35 AM

No... I am waiting on those specs also....

nismo suspension all the way! I have coils on the GTI and after a while its not something I like for a daily driver. Give me nismo quality suspension with a nice 1inch drop and I will be thrilled.

I doubt you'll see an inch...more like 0.4-0.6 in. when all is said and done. Based on what I've seen with the 370Z, I'd be happy with 1 - 1.3 inch drop

I agree, I've had Eibach coils on serveral cars, and they can be a little bouncy unless you get a shock that is damped properly or has adjustable damping.
The benifit is you can get your car to look great for very little money, but I'm not sure if the ride and handling is worth the trade off.
I did have a 92 mustang once with Eibach Pro Springs, they provided about 1.25 drop and worked absolutely perfect with the stock shocks, they really got that one right.

I think the Nismo shocks and struts will definitely offer a performance advantage, I just wish they had at least a 20mm drop, 15mm wont do much for getting and aggressive stance. The only other option is to go with a quality coil over, but these will be much more costly. 25mm to 30mm is what I'm really looking for. A good street set up that's just slightly stiffer and affordable, around $1000-$1200 would be good.:icon17: I'm not going to be tracking this car anytime soon, and when/if I do, I'll go to a different set-up.

I called a dealer today to find out install prices on the Nismo shocks, they were quoting $475. Does that sound about right?

There are many different coil over set ups.. There are some track oriented set ups.. and some for the street.. then of course you have some that will be okay for both.. I had some KW V3s on my g37 and i must say i was overly impressed with them.. Before those i had a set of H&R springs.. The ride was harsh and i was bottoming out all over the place.. Price to pay for a cheap severe drop... After a few months KW released their coil over kit.. I waited for a couple reviews and slapped a set on my car.. I had it set to about the same height as the H&R springs drop provided.. They had 9 settings for stiffness.. i started on 5.. and i must say that the car road almost identical to stock.. IMO a little better.. Never bottomed out and I personally like being able to feel the road more.. The cornering was improved dramatically.. The only downside i could possibly see was the overly responsive steering.. which was great in canyons but i could understand how it may bother the average driver.. I on the other hand.. loved it

What did the KW V3's cost you?
