Stock rotors weighed in at 30.5 pounds, so the replacement rotors were 1.5 pounds lighter!

Heavy wow.
|
Heavy is right. I was quite amazed when I went to casually pick one up and the thing didn't budge out of the box. A 2 piece should be a fairly significant savings, hopefully weighing < 20 pounds.
I was trying to do some mental math adding up all the unsprung weight on this car and it does seem to be fairly significant despite the extensive use of aluminum in the suspension arms. |
Pics installed please! Then add red Brembo 6pot calipers & take more pics, thanx.

Just wondering thanks
The ones I was looking at were 14.25" from the stillen catalog DAN |
If you go to larger rotor you will need a bracket to move the caliper out slightly, and will only be able to use 19" or larger wheels.
Actually on second thought it might work in the stock position as it is only going to protrude 1/8th of an inch further. Pad contact area would be the same, just a slightly larger surface area for heat dissipation. |
It might work I havent really looks into the specs yet to see if it would work

They are nice rotors, my buddy runs those same ones in his car for Redline Time Attack, he says they hold up real good even after a couple sessions!!!
We are getting a shipment of Stoptech Rotors in this week, PM FOR MORE INFO!! |
