Tein S.Tech Vs Eibach Pro Kit Springs
Hi guys
I'm stuck between these two options, I just want a subtle drop and these are the two least lowering springs on the market, Swift and H&R are too much of a drop for my taste Did a search but didnt find much information comparing them. I'm looking foward to ride them along with 20mm spacers all around. . Teins or Eibachs? |
Tein is a very subtle drop and nice ride all around, I dont know much about Eibach kit though so cant help much there. I just know if you want like a 1/2" drop Tein is the best bang for your buck and a great trust worthy product/company...

wat are the spring rates?
you'll want to get koni's with the prokit. ive not had one set of prokits that 'worked' for me without getting adjustable dampers on various cars ive had in the past. (including my G that's dropped on prokit + dspecs) also talk to davenue on the prokit. |
OEM Spring Rates
F: (7.5 kgf/mm) R: (8.1 kgf/mm) Tein S-tech F: 8.5kg (-0.9") R 9.4kg (-0.7") Eibach pro kit F: 8.6kg (-0.9") R 9.5kg (-0.8") This is what i found doing a search. Seems pretty close between the two, and both are listed as progressive springs |
stock is linear, no?

'strut' i was referring to shock and spring assembly, not as formal 'strut' as in macpherson strut. /thread. |

You also might want to contact Wikipedia your correct definition of the term "strut" as well. "An automotive suspension strut combines the primary function of a shock absorber (as a damper), with the ability to support sideways loads not along its axis of compression, somewhat similar to a sliding pillar suspension, thus eliminating the need for an upper suspension arm. This means that a strut must have a more rugged design, with mounting points near its middle for attachment of such loads." |
swifts arent too bad, inch drop all around
|
teins dropped my nismo over an inch..... just throwing that out there.
|
so do they teins go lower after a couple hundres miles? Im debating eibach or tein S tech. I really dont want to go lower than an inch
|
I just installed eibach spring this Tuesday and so far so good.. Ride comfort kinda feels better then stock.. I really haven't pushed the car around corners yet waiting for an alignment.. And as for drop it looks great.
|
Blagh get that Swift stuff out of here! Both spring rates are close enough that I doubt you will notice the difference. I have Teins and I'm waiting for my Eibach sway bars. If your gonna go with Eibach buy the whole kit, sways and springs. The Swifts are rated at 10Kg, I think that would be too stiff even though there are over 112 pages of people saying that they love them and the ride is like stock.
