Very loud thump coming from rear suspension(KW V3)
 

I have searched the forum and found that some other people have experienced this problem, and have fixed it by re-adjusting their springs/compression.

If anyone else is experiencing this problem with the KW V3's, please share. If anyone has had this problem and fixed it please share.

**The sound is a very large "thump" that comes from only the rear when going over a short but high speed bump. My front goes over fine, but when the car comes down it sounds like the hatch is slamming or something. I know its not the hatch because I've made sure that it was before, and have had a forum member sit in the car while it happens.**

well this won't help, but I didn't have problem with my v3

Check all of the bolts and make sure everything is tight. Also check the preload to make sure it's not loose.

Check your sway bars too.

Check for scrapes under your car, maybe something is bottoming out.

Yea I double checked this. I thought it was my Amuse rear just hitting at first and its not. No dents/scratches.

Hey man...I had this happen to me and I was dropped on KW V3's in the '09 that I had. It actually was the spare tire that was loose. I don't know if it's your situation. But every now and again it would loosen up in my '09. So far my '11 is just fine. Hopefully its not something too crazy for you.
