Not necessary but makes it much easier.
if its not your dd then go with 2 way LSD. both wheels are locked under declaration and acceleration making it easier to drift. problem is, its not an effective lsd for dd. tire wear will increase, unsafe in certain whether conditions. You could go with a 1.5 LSD which are only fully locked under acceleration but is better for a dd car. quaife, os giken, carbonetics all make LSD for this car just do your research on them and decide from there. good luck Joe Last edited by VQStryker; 10-14-2011 at 08:05 AM. |

Don't know if I would dd a 1.5 way either.... cornering at low speed makes quite the racket!

No LSD in the base model.
Honestly though, the open diff and the VLSD are about the same....very ineffective. You'd want a good clutch-type or Torsen diff, especially if you're trying to get sideways. |

I'd have to agree too, VLSD sucks on the Sport Model, can't even tell that it's there. Haven't lit it up off the line with the stability control off but my guess is it would be a 1-legged monster.

I have heard mine make a little noise form time to time and that's only when the radio was down all the way and I was entering a driveway at a angle on all occassions. I heard and somewhat felt it but my friends didn't that was standing right there. I do have very little wheel hop when making a somewhat tight turn. Which is to be expected with all diffs. Defiantly the best mod you can have.
