Need help with steering issue
Im rideing down the road and i turn the wheel to turn and all I hear is a horrible screech and cracking sound. I also notice when im driving I have like 2 inches of play in the steering. I get the car on the lift and the universal joint on the column is screeching and looks as if its coming apart. Its my DD so i put some grease in it and the noise cleared up but it still has the slack in the steering. It damn near put me off the road when I was going to pass a car. Has anyone else had this problem or do I have the worst luck ever?
