Stock sway bar movement...
Question for the suspension guys...
I just installed my oil cooler (haven't even fully ran the car yet) and the plate fitting is only about an inch from the sway bar HOWEVER it is close when there is no load on the wheel (car is jacked). Obviously the center of the bar will be pressed down once the wheels have weight on them... My question is how much travel is there towards the center of the bar... could it ever feasibly exceed the top position when the car is jacked up? I would think not unless there was force pushing the wheels down even further. |

can you post up a few picts and show us wat you are trying to ask?
wat you can do in the mean time is unlink the endlink and move the bar up down by hand to check clearance. |

The bracket is a inch away? Where is your cooler located exactly? Is the mounting plate flush against another object or does it jut out like and act as a extended lip. Need to see pics.

Sorry I did a bad job explaining...
I think I am in the clear, did some testing tonight... So my issue was that I mounted the mocal sideways (don't like the idea of the fittings being lower than the pan). When I had the car jacked, the swaybar was close to the bottom fitting coming out of the mocal (the 10an connector). Once I dropped it back down not only did the bar lower, it actually moved foward a bit (or maybe the engine dropped back). Looks like there isn't really any feasible way it would hit the fitting at this point. |

Yea I have mine mounted sideways in the northeast position. In which the fittings an lines are above the sway. I have seen some that mounted in the other direction back towards the engine mount. I didn't like that. It's so tight right there I don't see how you can get the fittings tight due to the motor mount. Then the idea of the mount which has to cause some amount flex.
