Agreed. Just pound the stock lugs out of the front. The rear will be fine with a slip-on spacer with built-in lugs.

I've always had my best luck with H&R.

may i ask what size rims you have and tire dimension to run 20mm front and 25mm rear without rubbing fender?

Just get two type 2 20mm spacers and be done with it. They will clear the front studs on the Rays 19" wheels.

Will this work as well for Base 18" wheels?

I know I read somewhere that the base wheels sit differently than the 19" Rays, so I am not sure what size spacers to get. It looks like 20mm in the front will sit flush...

if your riding stock height? just do what I did... Advan Sport, but wider! 245Front/275Rear.




Looks pretty good. But I might do 5mm or 10mm in the front.. so it will be even more flush! wider tires have improved my grip too :P

what if i drop my ride with tein s tech and go with ichiba 20mm front & 25mm rear with 245/35/20 front 285/30/20 tires..will i be rubbing my fenders?

if your running 20's? i would not bother with lowering springs. Just do it the right way and get some coilovers.. and from what your telling me? it sounds like the Stance GR+ coilovers are what YOU want.

I have 5mm spacers on the rear right now, and you can only get 5 turns of the lugnuts. (With 8 being optimal, 7 being 'safe') So I constantly make sure they are torqued properly. I need to get a set of extended lugs myself, but I'm waiting to upgrade my brakes and do it all at once since the wheel will already be off and the rotors being swapped.

If you put a 10mm spacer on you're looking at getting maybe 2 rotations. Completely unsafe. If you go 10 or 15mm spacer you Will need either extended lugs or the bolt on (type 2) spacer.
Type 2's are the preferred of the two due to a more secure fit.

hey edub- are you thinking about spacers for your Nurbs? if so (as i posted a few times already) take your wheels off the car and check to see if the back of your wheels offer voids (cavity) between the lugs where the stock studs would protrude past the 15mm you're thinking about doing.

bascially you need to study a little more about the 2 different spacers available.

You're probably okay using 5mm on your Nurbs, but NOT okay if you're thinking about using them on stock sport wheels. the reason being the stock wheels are hubcentric by design (your nurbs are lugcentric by design) and have a taper going into the center bore where the car's hub mates with the wheel. if you sandwich a 5mm spacer the wheel will not sit correctly on the hub due to that taper.

also as chris mentioned above, if you can get more than 5 turns on the lug when using your Nurbs you're probably okay and ideally i like to get 7 turns as well on non-aluminum lugs. if you're use lightweight lugs (duraluminum type) i dont recommend u do the 5mm spacer unless you install longer studs. the material is soft.

Edub I have the extended studs. If you use the bolt on hub(those that use the stock studs and then have another set of studs that the lugs go on) you need an area for the stock studs to extend into. If you look at the back of your rims at the hub area you may see void areas. Those are needed with the "bolt on" spacers. Most rims have void areas in the hub.

yah, check the DIY section as there's couple threads on doing the front and rear. you will want to have an impact gun (even a cordless would work) to put the new studs in.

but again, if it's for your Nurbs chances are you can just do the Kics or Ichiba V2 type spacers which do not require the stock studs to be replaced.
