Rotor Rust Ring
Here is a picture (sorry about quality -- it is from a Droid in low light) of one of my StopTech rotors.
Notice the rust ring -- which I am told is normal. Well, normal or not, I have a hard time knowing it's there. Any solutions/suggetstions besides "that's normal"? Thanks and have a great day.

Wow, that looks really yellow. Is that normal for the Stoptech rotors, or maybe just because they are new?
I don't think you can do anything about it really.

Yep, repaint the centers and don't mask the rotor. First 2-3 times you brake be careful, as the paint is scraping off the rotor, but after that you will have a perfect circle where the rust was.

Ehhhh.. I wouldn't recommend using the paint the rotor let the pads take it off scenario.. unless you had some pads you were ditching..
There's a lot of chemistry going on with bedding pads and rotors together, adding random elements of paint and/or powdercoating is less than ideal.. |

Thanks for the input. Do you have any suggestions? I know it is only cosmetic, but it bothers me.

I'm not ultimately familiar with Stop Tech's setup here.. aren't they zinc coated to prevent rust? Seems hard to fathom. |
