Crashed into curb help!!
Hi everyone,
I slammed into the sidewalk sideways and hit the rear wheels pretty hard. The camber is positive and the toe is negative. I'm afraid the damages will be costly due to the many components in a suspension. What do you guys think are the possible components needed to be switched out? Camber, toe, caster links, and what else? And anyone recommend a place for suspension work in LA 626 or 310 region? I might just lower it and put on some adjustable cambers. Thanks in advance! |
Have you tried just getting an alignment?

Hard to say without seeing the damage.

i agree with the two previous...just how exactly did you slam a sidewalk sideways? trying to drift? VDC off?

You can see the negative toe angle in the first picture. The camber is slightly positive and was difficult to get a good view of it.
http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c3...l/37b0fbdd.jpg The link is pretty much the only arm perpendicular to the hub and it seemed to have absorbed all the damage. That's the camber link isn't it?? http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c3...l/ee73513b.jpg Quote:

Ya that's the camber arm you can replace it with aftermarket adjustable arms that will give you camber adjustablilty or I have some oem ones laying around that I could sell you for $75 for the pair. Good luck. You're still gonna def need an alignment after though.

woah.... ouch. :( yah, +1 on the camber arm and see if you can get it back to spec.
you may need new toe rods too. |
id also be concerned about the strut itself. If it isnt bent itself, the area it attach's to at the top is probably a bit warped. def get that checked out.
|
Fortunately that link is designed to bend in case of a collision to avoid damage to other components. Replace it and get an alignment, if they can't get it back into spec then ask them to inspect for other damage.
