OP, you could give the Nismo brake pads a shot. They're supposed to be a slight upgrade to stock but still be low dust/noise.

hindi1973 04-17-2011 08:52 PM

i hear that they are worthless and not better than stock , maybe just abit,
their has to be someone that tried good brakepads and vouches for it. if not i will be the rat will try most of them and tell u guys . :happydance:

Not to be too nosy, but the what the hell have you been doing that would cause you to say that

I can vouch for this car stopping very well on the freeway at speed with erratic traffic stopping, on the street, in the canyons and in the rain. There is not one single time where I did not have confidence in the braking performance of this car.

hindi1973 04-17-2011 09:51 PM

nothing man , i just got the car from the vassel less than 24 hours ago , i didnt even drive it more than a bit , its not new ,its usedwith8000 miles but the pads are and the car is in perfect condition , and plz read wht isaid , i didnt say its bad , and i also didnt say i feel unsafe, i just want a stronger pads thats all, if their is , their is , if their isnt , then no harm done, ilove the car and the brakes anyway, ijust figured to ask if anyone tried better pads thats all .

Like myself you also went with the SP upgrade, right? So what pads did you exactly use? I went with the Hawks HP+. I love them so far. Going to see what they have this weekend on some spirted driving. I plant to track them in a month. So I'll see how that goes for myself. I already have a backup plan for rotors coming.

cossie1600 04-22-2011 08:50 PM

If you go fast enough, you will melt through the HP+ within 2-3 days

SPOHN 04-22-2011 08:57 PM

That's fine. Cause I'll be ready to get to some Carbotechs next time around. I like to try all types first hand reguardless of what others say. :icon17:

Man this is an old thread but geez they really called out OP on street racing yet no one said anything to the guy cussing. Then they kept going on and on instead of just answering the question. I came here bc this is the first thing Google popped up and all it is is forum bashing. Danggggg. So now that it's 2015. Was is a good solid brake pad for DD and very little track time?

Hatsuongmai 03-20-2015 06:40 PM

You should look into Project Mu Street: Type NS (Very good for street) and Project Mu Street Sports: B-Force (Very good for street and light track)

binary0x01 03-20-2015 06:45 PM

I'm gonna try a StopTech rotor/pads setup soon. We'll see how that goes.

Rusty 03-21-2015 06:26 AM

Don't forget about Yellowstuffs. Good DD with some track thrown in.
