Eibach drop here, immediately after installation, more drop at the front than 1 inch by my measurements...

hey guys im thinking about geting springs but cant decide also. im looking at megans, swift and h& R. my car is a daily driver and the places i go has lots of dips and speed bumps. with that being said which is the best option for me. i really hate scraping on those speed bumps and the dips i can always drive in an angle. also with the car being lowered which spring wont have a problem with a drive on lift. there's a place i go to to use there lift so i can do my own work on my car.

I am really torn between the pro kit and swifts. The advertised est drop seems to be more with swifts but based on what everyone in here, it seems that the people with pro kit setups are sitting lower than swifts. I am getting rims and the tires that I will be running are 255/30/20 frontt and 305/25/305 rears. I don't want to go too low and have rubbing issues... Nor need to run negative camber

Swifts are lower... 1-1/4"f & 1"r. Eibach's are less than an inch drop, around 3/4" & 7/8" if I remember correctly. Roadsters end up a little lower due to extra weight, I think. I love my swifts... IMO, any lower and you'd be scrapping too often. I have to put 2x4's down to get in and out of my driveway. Swifts are a great bang for your buck. And with some spacers, the car sits real nice. There are some pics in my profile if you're interested.

rlhotka, I'm going to have to agree with NORAIN...the Swift springs are going to be the best handling springs for your money.
They're very popular in our community for a reason

I was also considering ARK GT-F springs but not much talk about them, and I emailed H&R to find out their spring rate but haven't heard back from them yet. So its Swift or ARK and Koni's for me. Was going to go for coils but don't want to bother with lowering and raising and if its all aliened with each corner.

Found this interesting Autocross to Win (DGs Autocross Secrets) - Buying Shocks what they say about koni's. Anyone have insight on this? So far their is only a coilover bilstein kit and no shocks/struts.

I am resurrecting this spring thread to address something that just occurred to me after 5 hours of researching 370z springs for a friend...
Eibach makes TWO DIFFERENT SETS OF SPRINGS FOR THE 370Z One is nismo, the other is non... both are labeled "pro kit", both have a 14 at the end of the part number...(so people like me ignore it) Eibach lowering springs 370Z Pro-Kit 6393.14 (this one is listed as just under an inch front and rear) Eibach lowering springs Nismo 370Z Pro-Kit 63103.14 - this one might be 1.5"...! For all the pictures above, do you guys know which kit's you have installed? As I get the complete information, I'll post it here |
