Na. I pop open the center console, adjust to taste, close back down. Doesnt impinge on my space (I am a big guy) and is a little bit sleeper. Know where you are putting yours Dreamer?

Mine will be mounted in the same spot.
I am a fan of hidden but useable, like my camp 2 is in the glove box giving me access if we need it but out if the way.

Nice setup! I got a Touring/Sport and the IPOD plug would get in the way of that clean install….thus the external non-sleeper option for me.

Suppose to be ordering it all on Monday, suppose to be.

You can mount it farther back or rotate it if you want also, both of ours will be up close because we do not have either of those connections.

Bringing up an old thread, where did you guys run the wiring through the firewall to the forward shock motors? I'm going to be doing all the EDFC-related install work over the next few days and could use some pointers on where all the pathways are. Also, what wire did you tap for the controller? I was reading the Tein site and they were mentioning the need to have a power source that isn't being used that much, as too much of a voltage drop can lead to faults in the EDFC system. Any help is appreciated!

My wire runs were a bit hacked……
I drilled a hole through the firewall above the clutch pedal so that the driver's side wire run aligned with the shock tower…..beware the insulation; it loves to tangle with drill bits. I ran the passengers side (after passing through the hole) along another wire bundle or cable tied it to structure near the firewall to get to the passenger side. For the rear, I drilled though the lower gage/thickness portion of the shock towers. There is an alternative to run to the back middle access plug but supporting the wires seemed a bit difficult going that route.

I had a friend run the power so do not have much information on that.

Good luck! I'd be happy to meet and show you what I'm trying to describe…..give me a call.

I was quoted about $1k for the installation so decided to work it on my own with a few qualified friends.

Not sure many have jumped from one to the other.
I know the KW3 are more progressive giving a smoother ride and then becoming stiffer as you increase performance on the track. I like my TEIN with the EDFC because I can adjust my stiffness at anytime front to rear.

Default EDFC on a NISMO

I've been doing my research on the TEIN Mono Flex Coilovers and this thread has been helpful in basically saying "GO GET EM"; however, with the EDFC where did you install the motor mounts? There seems to be no room what so ever in the front with the strut brace in the way. Did you have to purchase a new brace just to get the motor mounts to fit?

How are you liking these after some track seasons under your belt? This option is very tempting to me because I need a set of coils that can keep near ride height and with these you can actually raise the car if you wanted. I have very little drive way clearance. For the electronic control system - do you just buy the kit they sell or do you also have to buy some additional motors to make it work??
