Do you know why?

The 15mm spacer does not move the wheel far enough away from the hub to keep the OEM wheel studs from contacting the inside of the divots in the rim. 20mm spacers are thick enough to the point where the OEM studs do not really extend past the spacer and therefore have plenty of clearance with the wheel.

I would not have done it if I didn't get so much reassurance from the guys I knew were running 20mm bolt on spacers and running them hard.

You CANNOT use bolt on spacers up front (in H&R lingo, you can't use DRM) for our cars. Spacer with replacement studs must be used.

OP, even if you lose 5mm of stud length with a 5 mm spacer, it is still not recommended. General rule of thumb is you need about 8 full turns on the lugnut for proper engagement.

He's talking about running the spacers on his Drag wheels. That's why I've been telling him to post up picts of the back side of his wheels.

The oem wheels are the gating factor for builtin stud type spacers.
