Camber on 2011 Touring Model
This question is about stock suspension and may not belong here. I notice that the rear tires are not perpendicular to the ground but tilt out. This may be intended for better cornering but will definitely cause faster wear on the inside of the tires.
Is this normal or should I take it to the dealer for alignment? The car has less than 1000 miles on it. Thanks, rangercarol |

Depends on how far out its. I think the rear camber is out of spec at -1.9. Normal I think is -1.2.

the car comes preprogrammed with camber as required by its suspension geometry.
i dont think there's many cars these days that use zero camber. have to be a locomotive or truck or something. |

As long as you are within spec on camber the wear will be very even. But if you are a little out of spec on toe you can really chew tires up and fast!

Camber on 2011 Touring Model
As a follow-up to my original question; I had the dealer take a look at my car today. They graciously did a full alignment and determined that the camber was out of tolerance by about 1 degree on the left and .5 degree on the right. They fixed it at no charge.
